Feeding the Children is an international humanitarian organization
serving the world's poor by providing feeding programs that help
save lives, bring hope, restore dignity, and ultimately give us the
opportunity to share our faith in Jesus Christ. This assistance is
provided regardless of people's beliefs, gender, or ethnic
background.
We are currently feeding the children
in the mountains of
Honduras,
Central America,
who are literally dying of malnutrition from lack of protein.
Why Honduras you ask!
Well Honduras has over 300,000 homeless children and is one of
the poorest nations in the western hemisphere. Over 50% of the
population is
15 years old or younger. With the average family income
being less than $150 per month. And that’s only if they work.
Honduras has a roughly 30% unemployment rate.
Our
first step is to feed the homeless children of Honduras. And if
enough funds are available, we would like to expand this to several
of the larger cities throughout Honduras and Guatemala. Then later,
God willing, we would like to build some large basic barracks
to get the children off the streets, onto basic sleeping cots,
and provide them with showers. These children currently sleep
in the streets and alleys, and bath in the river that is so polluted
that it alone is probably killing them. Please
